Privacy

FinTape decides why your personal data is used. The grievance contact is support@fintape.in.

What we collect

  • Account: email, mobile number, and a password. The password is stored so it cannot be read back. If you use Gmail, Google shares the name and email on that Google account. We never receive your Google password.
  • Sign-in: if you tick Keep me signed in, a sign-in is stored in that browser or app for up to 90 days. If you leave it unticked, the sign-in ends when that browser session ends. Sign out removes it.
  • Plan: the plan you paid for, whether it renews, the term, and the date it ends. Card, UPI, and netbanking details are handled by Razorpay. We keep the payment reference and, if you ticked Renew automatically, the Razorpay renewal id. We do not keep your full card or UPI secret.
  • Questions: a question you type in Ask FinTape, and the market figures needed to answer it, is sent to xAI to write the reply. We do not send your password.
  • On the device only: notes, a portfolio, saved screens, a journal, and chart settings stay in that browser or app. We do not receive them. Clearing the site data deletes them.

We do not give personal data to anyone for money. We do not show ads. We do not ask for your location, contacts, photos, or a broker login.

Why we use it

To open the account, keep you signed in, show the plan you paid for, renew it only if you ticked that box, answer Ask FinTape, and reply if you write to us. Market prices are read from public feeds. Those feeds do not receive your email or mobile number.

Who else sees it

Google, if you choose Gmail. Razorpay, if you pay. xAI, for an Ask FinTape question. A host that stores the account. Each one gets only what that job needs. Some of them are outside India.

How long we keep it

The account is kept while it is open. After you ask us to delete it, we delete the profile, mobile number, sessions, and plan, except a payment record we must keep for tax. Device notes stay until you clear them. An unticked sign-in ends with the browser session. A ticked one lasts up to 90 days unless you sign out sooner.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent, by writing to support@fintape.in. We will answer within the time the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules require. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

FinTape is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly keep an account for a child.

Terms

FinTape is a market research and timing tool for US and Indian listed securities, markets, mutual funds, and IPOs. These terms cover the website and the app.

The account

You must be 18 or older. You need an email, a mobile number, and a password, or a Gmail account. One mobile number is one account. You are responsible for that sign-in. We may close an account that is false, shared in a way that breaks a plan, or used to attack the service.

The plans

Free is the sample desk. Elite is ₹999 a month. Elite Pro is ₹1,799 a month. You can pay for 1 month, for 6 months at 20% off, or for 1 year at 30% off. Prices are in Indian rupees, as shown on Plans before you pay. The plan opens only after the payment is verified.

If you leave Renew automatically unticked, you pay that term once. It does not renew. When the date ends, the paid screens close unless you pay again. If you tick Renew automatically, the same plan and term are charged again when the period ends, until you press Stop auto-renewal on the Plans page. Stopping it keeps the term already paid open until its date.

What you may not do

Do not copy the calls, scores, or pages onto another product. Do not resell a login. Do not scrape the service or try to break a lock on a plan. A personal note for your own research is fine.

The service can change

Feeds fail, a figure can be late or wrong, and a screen can be down. We may change a score, a plan, or these terms. The date at the top will change when these terms change. If you keep using FinTape after that, the new terms apply.

Liability

FinTape is a research tool, offered as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a trading loss, a missed price, or a decision you take from a score, a call, or an Ask FinTape answer. Nothing here limits a right the law does not let us limit.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in India have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you a forum you cannot waive.

Risk

FinTape is not a stock broker. It does not open a trading account and it does not place an order. You place any real order yourself, at your own broker.

Nothing on FinTape is investment advice, or a recommendation to act on a strong fit, a no change, or a no longer aligned label, sized to your money, your tax, or your risk. A strong fit, a no change, or a no longer aligned label on a paid plan is the output of a research model. You decide whether it fits you.

Prices can lag the exchange. A filing, a result date, a volume, or a score can be missing or wrong. Past scores are not a promise of a future result. Markets can fall. You can lose money.

No SEBI registration number is shown here. Do not read that silence as a claim that a registration is, or is not, required. If a registration is later held, its number will be printed on this page.

Refunds

If you left Renew automatically unticked, the payment is for that term only and nothing is charged again. If you ticked it, the same term is charged again until you press Stop auto-renewal on the Plans page. After you stop, the term already paid stays open until its date, and the later charge is not taken.

The paid screens open as soon as the payment is verified. Because of that, the fee is not refunded once the plan is open. If you were charged and the plan did not open, write to support@fintape.in within 7 days with the payment reference. We will refund that charge. A payment record can be kept where tax law requires it.
